  Has the Watchtower ever admitted making a mistake?

  with all their flip flops, errors and changes, do you know of any printed admission of mistakes made ?.

  have they ever apologized for wrong doctrine?.

  I believe the Wt made a vague kinda, sorta apology regarding 1975 (in print) about 4 years later. It may have been motivated by the fact the number of publishers was declining a bit since 1975.

  Yes I remember this they said even some of the Bethel higher ups made wrong assumptions it fell way short of the GB saying Sorry Brothers we were wrong They can;t admit that they were wrong To do so would mean that God is not directing them or if he is then they are not listening. I believe that Franz in COC said he was the one that was asked to compose this quasi apology

  as a nurse, i can tell you that their lives wont go well.

  usually abused females end up neurotics and suffer from personality disorders, and more often than not, anorexic.

  But I can tell you I know plenty of survivors who married and have only had sex with their husbands and no one else.

  Of the three relationships I had after my witness marriage broke up all turned out to be sexual abuse victims. It wasn't fidelity that was the problem but lack of intimacy... that I a male could be trusted. I asked one , my lover at the time who had a 12 year old daughter Do you trust me with your daughter? She said yes So I said why don't you trust me She said I can't She seemed determined to sabotage our relationship to make me fit into her concept that males are abusers..... She played control games re her former lovers and other games related to her self esteem. She would not see a counselor with me. Later after I broke up with her for my own emotional wellbeing and moved out.... she entered a relationship with a man who was more screwed up than her..... was now on the receiving end.... finally sought counseling ....broke up with him and has now had a relationship with another man for three years. She is still receiving counseling. I have spoken to her recently and she now tells me what a bitch she was when she was with me. Something she would never ever have admitted before.. I'm happy for her I hope the cycle of abuse has finally been broken. I say cycle because I was also the victim of her fathers abuse not personally but through the damage he did to his little girl. The woman I loved. I hate sexual abuse.

  Short Men... and their refusal to use the Short Uninals... a threat to all of human civilization.

  i have recently noticed a very fascinating phenomenon in men's restrooms: short men always use the "tall" urinals, even when it violates the "unspoken social contract of using the restroom" for men (ladies, please view the entire instructional video below before asking any questions).. .

  i was suspicious that the short guys were doing this, but this morning i found conclusive evidence in the form of a short man blatantly violating the "unspoken social contract of using the restroom" for men this morning at work.

  i was quite shocked and taken aback at this guy's blatant disregard for the rules (thereby threatening all of civilization as we know it) by using the wrong urinal.. here at work most men follow the social contract and use the urinal that is furthist from the door, which happens to be a "short" urinal for short people.

  Those who can't be resurrected...

  hey folks a little help.

  i seem to remember when i was younger reading an article talking about people who probably wouldn't be resurrected, those who turned their back on jehovah being the primary example.

  i can't find the article to cite though, does anyone here know which article mentioned this?.

  i remember reading a wt where they quoted a source that said 300.000 christians died in the first century as martyrs.

  the obvious conclusion was that the 144,000 number was filled back then.

  no doubt many witnesses thought this for a question from readers was later published addressing it.

No doubt many witnesses thought this for a Question from readers was later published addressing it. It said among other things "that they could not have all been faithful." These ones were matyers. They just didn't simply claim to be Christians. They died for their faith, fed to lions, set alight as human torchers on the Appian Way. For fxxk's sake what more did they need to do in order to convince the Gibbering Body they were faithful. Now I find such claims highly offensive. Yet when I was a Witness , I hardly gave it a second thought. Go figure

  i'd like to bury them, morn the loss and accept that i can no longer relate to them, but they are still walking around and as pope said " hope springs eternal in the human breast" i am a fighter, but this cult mindset is so elusive.
